Our world first: the Supfina Fact. It is a compact belt finishing attachment, specially developed for mounting on turret lathes.
The Supfina Fact is controlled by a central drive connected to the lathe's turret. It requires no additional connections for media, as flushing is carried out directly via the turret.
The device can be adapted to various turret systems and, thanks to a special gearbox, offers the option of oscillation shutdown for twist-free machining. The Supfina Fact can also be used to process hard materials and coatings with a diamond superfinish belt.
What is superfinishing?
Superfinishing, often referred to as short-stroke honing, is a high-precision machining process specifically designed to significantly improve the quality of workpiece surfaces. This process is particularly important for bearing surfaces, where special cross-hatching and a high contact ratio are essential to ensure low friction and a long service life for the components.
Supfina's superfinishing attachments, including the latest Supfina Fact model, enable existing CNC, grinding, or turning machines to be upgraded to produce superfinished surfaces. The attachments are available in various designs, including stone, belt, and hybrid versions. The surface qualities achieved are significantly higher than with normal turning and thus meet even the highest requirements for surface finish. Furthermore, a separate external or in-house grinding process can be eliminated. Supfina attachments are suitable for a wide range of applications and represent a cost-effective investment.
